A boldly remodeled home gets an ultimate pollinator front yard that is bursting with native plant blooms, colors and textures. A Coast Live Oak tree acts to ground the garden and welcome in the local wildlife of bees, birds and squirrels.
Before - The front yard was overrun by weeds and post construction waste.
This garden was installed during the late Fall which is an optimal time for planting native plants. This timeframe allows for plants to have enough time to establish an extensive root system before the Spring and Summer months.
A dry creek bed and large boulders bring a sense of nature to the front yard to soften the bold lines of the home. Wild rye grasses and yarrow bring soft texture to the garden.
Geometric concrete pads frame the space with their shape complementing the architectural style of the house.
